Islamic Dome Workshop

V&A, London

On 8th August, a one-day children’s workshop was held during the Arab World Festival at the V&A in the John Madejski Garden.

A large timber geodesic dome was built in the courtyard and covered in cotton. Visitors were invited to decorate diamond shaped coloured paper exploring Islamic arts like geometry, Arabesque and contemporary themes from Arabia. Participants then entered the dome to decorate the interior with designs that they had prepared.
